i like the nba, but i hate the all star game. most of the players attempt to be too flashy. this creates sloppy basketball and i can't keep my television tuned to it.

sloppy gameplay? the allstar game is basically all i watch of the NBA. Everything else is just boring. i do watch the finial game of the championship but other than that nope.

the reason the nba is "boring" to alot of people is because of defense. many people label the nba as a no defense league. this really isn't the case. could you imagine if the suns lined up in a 2-3 zone against the mavericks or lakers? kobe and dirk could routinely have wide open jump shots. they plan mostly man defense, but shooters are forced to use their own skills and create their own shot. this leaves many post players one on one. that's why we see alot of posting up. so yeah, there appears to be no defense. 2 things the nba has against them is their image and lack of atmosphere. you really can't beat a basketball game in chapel hill or cameron indoor.
